A big thank you to everyone who helped make our first cattle info night of 2017 a great success! We thoroughly enjoyed your company and were happy to answer your questions. The night commenced with a talk from Dr. Andy Hancock from Zoetis regarding the scourshield vaccine and advantages of pre-calving vaccination of the herd. Dr. Katie from Geovet followed with a talk on colostrum management, and tips for how you can improve and monitor colostrum on your farm. Finally Dr. Will capped off the evening with a presentation on calvings – what to check for, how to correct dystocias, how to prevent broken legs and of course when it’s time to call us out. We greatly value all our cattle producers and aim to help make your farming enterprise as successful as possible.
